14 rescued after building collapse at Roman Ridge

At least 14 construction workers have been rescued in critical condition after a building collapsed at the premises of the Architectural Engineering Group at Roman Ridge in Accra earlier today.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the victims, many of whom sustained serious injuries, have been rushed to the 37 Military Hospital and Ridge Hospital for emergency treatment.

Emergency responders from the GNFS Headquarters, with support from the National Ambulance Service and the Police, have been at the scene since the incident occurred.

Rescue operations are still underway amid fears that more people may be trapped under the rubble.
