2019 Ghana Beverage Awards slated for March 2020
Global Media Alliance (GMA) has launched the Fourth Edition of the Ghana Beverage Awards (GBA).
The awards slated for March 2020 has s new category; Beverage Advert of the Year.
According to the organizers of the awards, “the new category is to acknowledge feedback from stakeholders, particularly consumers.”
There will also a beverage forum to be held before the awards night.
The event is expected to assemble industry stakeholders on current happenings, the future of the Ghanaian beverage industry and progress paths.
The Beverage Advert of the Year Award goes to the brand in the year under review which is enjoying massive public appeal with its creative publicity.
Speaking at the launch of the 2019 Awards in Accra, the Chief Executive Officer of GMA, Ernest Boateng noted: “the GBA keeps getting better year and year.”
“The event has grown in size and quality. We have been able to bring on board more beverage companies and attracted more government support. Evidence of our growth is the public response we got during the online nomination process, ” he stated.
He went ahead to add that the Year of Return is a perfect opportunity for Ghana Beverage Awards to further thrive.
“Our family and friends will join us this Christmas for the Year of Return. Whatever we do let’s share the good stock of our beverage options with them and go-ahead to nominate our favorite brands on www.ghanabeverageawards.com. he added.
Mr. Boateng also mentioned that in order to strengthen the standards, the panel of judges are set to embark on plant tours to ascertain the quality procedures in the beverage companies.
The 2019 GBA is under the theme “Inspiring Excellence in Ghana’s Beverage Industry will promote especially local beverages and the participation of small-scale beverage enterprises in the awards scheme.”
