4 Reasons Why You’re Still Stuck In Your Crappy Relationship

Are you considering leaving the relationship but simply don’t have the nerve to do it? Some people make leaving a relationship look easy, but that’s not always the case.

That’s why there’s that flower petal game: They love me, they love me not.

We all have reasons why we want to end a fling or courtship, but it takes courage and confidence to go through with it. As opposed to telling you how to get out of this crappy relationship, I’ll reveal to you the reasons that you’re still in it. They’re mind-blowers.

Comfort
The relationship is your comfort zone. You’ve either dated too many people and become tired, or you have been in this relationship for so long that you’re simply used to it. Either way, you don’t want to be alone.

Being alone is probably not your forte. So while you’ve made the list of reasons why you should leave, you’ve also considered how comfortable you are with the routine.

Familiarity
There comes a point in a relationship where you become quite acquainted with your partner; their habits, likes, and dislikes. It takes time to do that. So, just considering learning about someone all over again can definitely make you less than eager to reenter the dating market.

What you don’t realize is that as a person changes, their habits, likes, and dislikes change, too. Either way, you’re learning and acquainting yourself with a person all over again as they evolve.

Impossibility
Talking with your single friends about dating doesn’t motivate you to leave the crappy relationship. They tell you about dating apps and their recent outings, but it’s not at all appealing to you. Also, there are no guy friends or eye candy at work, so you are totally out of luck. The absence of potential can definitely keep you in a crappy relationship.

Fear
It’s difficult to let go of someone you’ve invested time in. Even when you know you deserve better, it’s hard to see the aftermath of a crappy relationship. There is always a reason to keep them close, too. Maybe, you fear seeing them move on. After all, you taught them a couple of good things that you don’t want to see them use on someone else. Perhaps, you want them to stick around, even just as a friend. The relationship still means something to you, and that’s alright. We all have our doubts and fears regarding any decisions we make.

Relationships come and go. Sometimes they’re just not meant to be, so trying to work things out is not always an option. We all have our reasons why we’re in a relationship, but in the end, it’s our decision to stay or go. If you are feeling trapped, think about why you’re still in the relationship instead of just how to get out of it. It’ll ultimately make things better for both your partner and yourself.
