The immediate past Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has congratulated English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur for reaching an agreement to sign Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus.
He shared this message on his social media platforms following the announcement of Kudus’ impending move from West Ham United to Spurs.
As a dedicated Tottenham Hotspur fan, Dr. Bawumia expressed his excitement about the prospect of the highly-rated Ghanaian player joining his favourite team.
“I am excited to see our Ghanaian starboy make this move to my Spurs. All the best in you medical Mohammed Kudus” Dr. Bawumia wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) page.
Following the £55 million deal agreed between London clubs West Ham and Tottenham, 24-year-old Kudus’ transfer is pending a medical examination scheduled for Thursday, July 10.
Since joining West Ham from Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam, Kudus has proven to be one of the most creative players in the English Premier League and world football. Spurs will compete in the UEFA Champions League next season.
