Christian Council Of Ghana To Mobilize For A Massive Protest Over Illegal Mining

The Christian Council of Ghana has indicated that it will mobilize its members to embark on a massive protest to register their displeasure over the devastating cost of illegal mining.

Leaders of the council will be monitoring to see for themselves the level of destruction in water bodies and forests.

President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches Rev. Professor Paul Frimpong Manso said the church is now ready to lead the fight against illegal mining.

“we are leading the fight, the fight is four phases, first repenting and accepting our challenges, and weaknesses, making sure that we won’t be part of it, church making sure that we tell the people that it is wrong, the church also telling the people in authority…… that they should do the right thing, judges, police and finally carry on to protest in our numbers…………. to tell the world that Galamsey is destroying our rivers.
