Pollster, Ben Ephson has indicated that Dr. Zanetor Agyeman Rawlings will win the Klottey-Korle Constituency election in the upcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries on Saturday.

According to him, Dr. Zanetor Rawlings has proved herself worthy of retaining the Klottey-Korle seat.

In an interview monitored by The Ghana Report, Ben Ephson explained that Zanetor Rawlings was very likely to retain her candidature for the opposition NDC in the 2020 parliamentary elections because she had successfully managed to align herself to many across the political divide in a rather short period of time since she joined mainstream politics.

He noted, “During the 2016 general election when even her own people in the NDC were plotting for her to lose because of their disagreements with her parents, she still sailed through.”

He however argues that Zanetor’s task in the real parliamentary contest in 2020 may be a lot more difficult than what is to be expected in her party’s primaries on Saturday.

The pollster believes the possible clash between Zanetor and Philip Addison will be a spectacle to behold in the 2020 general elections.

“If she wins as I expect her to win, it will be very difficult for her to face the NPP side to retain the seat for the NDC,” he said.

Dr. Zanetor will be contesting the Klottey-Korle Constituency NDC primaries with Leeford Quarshie, Nii Alema Bashiru and Naa Odarkai Lamptey Addy.

The winner will contest on the ticket of the NDC in the 2020 parliamentary election.

The largest opposition party will hold its parliamentary primaries across the country on Saturday, August 24, 2019.

General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has said all is set for the party’s primaries this weekend.
