Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has released a track to counter claims by actress Yvonne Nelson on the relationship they shared and the claims of aborting a pregnancy for him in 2010.

The lyrics of the track suggest the rapper wasn’t happy with the revelations by the actress and stated that what pissed him off the most was the lie going about that he asked her to terminate the pregnancy

The rapper called her some unprintable names, saying he was in a long line of men sleeping with the actress. He finally concluded that he never believed she was pregnant because she refused to be examined by his doctor.

From the lyrics of Sarkodie’s “try me” song the following revelation could be deduced.

  • He wasn’t the only man in Yvonne Nelson’s life

According to the first winner of BET’s Best International Flow Artist at the 2019 BET Awards, he respected Yvonne Nelson and wanted to take their relationship seriously until he got a hint that other men were sleeping with her as well.  He called her unsavoury words, including saying “She was for the streets”.

  • Sark said he asked her to keep the pregnancy

The rapper in his song stated that it wasn’t his idea to abort the pregnancy. He disclosed that Yvonne Nelson brought it up and insisted that she didn’t want to keep his pregnancy because she had to complete her education.

  • She tried to trap him again

The Vodafone Ghana Music Award for “Artiste of the Decade” also revealed in his song that Yvonne Nelson asked for a meeting to discuss the past, so he suggested they meet at a public restaurant but she refused to meet him suggesting they meet at her home.

  • He doesn’t believe that Yvonne Nelson was pregnant

The Rapper added that when the actress told him about the pregnancy, he requested that his doctor attends to her, but she refused. He said this made him doubt if she was ever really pregnant.

After the release of Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson’s riveting memoir, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson, the book has already found success on Apple Books and Amazon and stirred various conversations on social media.

Some netizens have applauded the actress for her courage whilst others are lambasting her.

In the same vein, after Sarkodie released his “try me” diss track to counter Yvonne’s book, netizens have shared bittersweet reactions, whilst others are applauding him for “spitting bars” on the track whilst others have noted him for being disrespectful.
