#OccupyBoG Protest In Pictures

Story By: Will Agyapong

The Minority Caucus led the #OccupyBoG protest with a march along the principal streets of Accra today, Tuesday, October 3.

Their primary objective was to demand the immediate removal of the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Ernest Addison and his deputies.

This demand arises from what they described as significant incompetence on the part of these officials, which they believe has directly contributed to the financial challenges of the Bank of Ghana.

The Bank of Ghana reported a loss of GHC 60.8 billion, which the Minority in Parliament finds unacceptable.

Clad in black and red attire, the protesters were vocal, chanted songs and held placards bearing various slogans, including ‘Mr Printer Stop Printing Money For Criminals’, ‘Misgovernor Addison’, and ‘Akyem Mafia Government’, among others, as they expressed their frustration and pressed their demands to the government.

Below are some pictures from the protests.
