Shatta Wale not afraid to be Ghana’s President

Award-winning artiste, Charles Nii-Armah Mensah Jnr, popularly known in the music industry as Shatta Wale,  says he is available for any ambassadorial position and will not be afraid to contest for Presidency when the time comes.

The interest in the seat for Presidency, according to the musician comes after much public outcry that things are not going well with regards to the development of the country.

Shatta Wale believes the entire Ghanaian populace, mostly the youth are tired of the two-party system in Ghana.

Speaking on the Metro TV’s ‘Good Evening Ghana’ show on Thursday night, the award-winning musician said whenever the opportunity comes, he will fight for the seat of Presidency without any hesitation.

He noted “Ghanaians are tired, most especially the youth. It has gotten to a point where we can’t see any good thing coming out from these two parties. They have both failed to address the genuine concerns of the youth over the years.”

“People want to rise up, people are having guns, ready to fight. People are frustrated in this country. The uprising of the youth is serious, people are tired they want to get out of that stagnation. One person can just get on twitter and cause a massive stir so we need take this issue seriously,” Shatta Wale stated.

“If I am given the nod for an ambassadorial position, I would really channel it to taking care of the youth. You know already because of the Shatta Movement, I have most of the youth following me here and there so I believe if I get the chance, I will really influence the youth positively and channel all that negative energy positively,” he added.

According to him, the Shatta Movement is dedicated to building and empowering the youth in the right direction.

Asked what he would do if he becomes the President someday, the ‘My Level’ hitmaker said he would use the Shatta Movement to build up the  youth because they are the future of the country.

“Myself and other members are people who have the interest of Ghana at heart and most importantly, people who want to leave a lasting legacy before we live the world. We want to change the future of this country, make it a better one from where it appears to be heading to now,” he disclosed.
