Minister for Sports and recreation , Hon. Kofi Adams, has gifted GH¢10,000 to Asante Kotoko following their comeback victory against Accra Hearts of Oak in the 2025 President’s Cup played on Sunday, July 6, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The much-anticipated encounter saw Hearts of Oak draw first blood in the first half, capitalising on a defensive lapse to take the lead. However, Kotoko responded strongly in the second half, netting twice to turn the tie around and secure a 2-1 win in front of a lively crowd. The match delivered all the drama and intensity expected from Ghana’s fiercest football rivalry.

Following the game, Hon. Kofi Adams visited the Kotoko team at their hotel, where he presented the GH¢10,000 cash reward in recognition of their fighting spirit and performance.
