NSA launches fresh registration for 2025/26 service year

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced a fresh registration window for the 2025/26 service year, set to begin on Wednesday, October 8 and close on Wednesday, October 15.

This follows the cancellation of all registrations completed in June due to concerns over data integrity.

According to the NSA, a directive from the President prompted a Technical and Forensic Audit of the Central Service Management Platform.

The audit revealed serious flaws in the system, including discrepancies in age data, leading to the decision to scrap the earlier entries and build a new digital platform.

“All previous registrations from June 2025 have been declared null and void. Every prospective service personnel must re-register on the new platform,” the Authority stated.

The new system is designed to offer better transparency, tighter security, and real-time verification. Step-by-step registration guidelines will be available on the NSA’s updated website, www.gnsa.gov.gh, starting Tuesday, October 7.

Refunds will be issued for payments made during the June registration period.

The NSA also shared plans to introduce stronger IT controls and payroll reforms to prevent fraud and ensure timely allowance payments.

These efforts are being coordinated with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department.

All assigned personnel are expected to report to their service stations on Saturday, November 1. The official start of the service year is Monday, November 3.

This move is seen as a reset aimed at restoring trust in the registration process and ensuring a smoother experience for thousands of young Ghanaians preparing to serve.
