Tanko sacks eight players from Black Meteors camp

Management of the male U-23 national team, the Black Meteors have dropped eight players from the team camping base in Prampram.

Twenty-two players were invited to start camping for the preparations of the CAF U-23 Championship qualifier against Togo.

The technical team have this morning dropped eight players from the squad and handed in invitation to some foreign players.

The eight players who were dropped this morning are ;

Dacosta -Inter Allies

Joseph Esso- Hearts Of Oak

Bright Enchill -Medeama

Cletus Nombile – Dreams FC

Douglas Owusu-Ansah- Kotoko

Toufic Mohammed- Star Madrid

Ibrahim Yaro – Medeama and Moro Salifu of Bechem.

Three foreign-based players have been invited to beef up the squad. They are,

Joel Fameyah – Dinamo Brest (Belarus)
Isaac Twum – IK Start (Norway)
Gideon Mensah – FC Liefering (Austria)

Black Meteors will host their counterparts from Togo on Tuesday, 18th December 2018 in the first leg of the first round of CAF U-23 Championship qualifier in Kumasi.

Ghana has never qualified to the CAF U-23 Championship since it’s inception in 2011. The competition also serves as the qualifiers for the Olympic Games.
