A-list movie star in Ghana paid an average GH¢7k monthly – Elikem Kumordzi
Popular actor and fashion icon Elikem Kumordzi The Tailor has opened up on how much actors and actresses bag as salaries for movie roles in Ghana.
Using his movie career as a case study, Elikem said an A-list actor in Ghana can receive as much as GH¢10,000 for a role in a movie.
He broke it down further, saying that can mean an A-list actor will be taking home close to GH¢7,000 as a monthly salary on a set.
Touching on another list of actors and actresses, the actor and tailor said B and C lists might receive less based on their fame and influence.
Elikem Kumordzi said this while addressing actress Kisa Gbekle’s assertion that the movie industry in Ghana is not lucrative but just for swag and fame.
Kumordzi appeared as a guest host on the 3FM Drive on 3FM 92.7 on Tuesday, June 21.
