Afcon u-20: Senegal beat Gambia 2-0 to lift trophy

Senegal defeated Gambia in a thrilling final to win the Total Energies U -20 AAfricn Cup of Nations for the first time in Cairo at the Cairo International Stadium.

Both Faye Souleymana and Camara Mamadou scored for Head Coach Malik Daf on the night.

Senegal, The Gambia, Nigeria, and Tunisia will now represent Africa in the U-20 World Cup in Indonesia, which is scheduled to take place from May 20 to June 11, 2023.

Senegal has already won the 2021 African Nations Championship in Cameroon, the 2022 African Nations Championship in Algeria, the 2022 Beach Soccer Championship in Mozambique, and the just concluded U-20 AFCON in Egypt.
