Ghana football has welcomed a familiar face back into its fold as Emmanuel Agyemang Badu joins the Management Committee of the Black Galaxies.
His appointment is seen as a major boost, with the former Black Stars midfielder bringing years of international know-how and leadership to the role.
Badu’s career with the national teams is etched in history.
From his match-winning penalty that sealed Ghana’s first-ever FIFA U-20 World Cup title in 2009 to his 78 senior caps, he was a key figure for the Black Stars.
He went on to play at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and featured at five consecutive Africa Cup of Nations tournaments between 2010 and 2017.

The committee itself will be steered by Kingsley Osei Bonsu, CEO of Bechem United and a member of the Executive Council, with Volta RFA Chairman Daniel Agboga acting as Vice Chairman.
Also included are respected administrators Michael Kofi Oduro of Na-God FC and Daniel Asante of Wamanafo Mighty Royals.
Their responsibility is clear: provide direction, ensure player welfare, and prepare the Black Galaxies to compete strongly in upcoming continental tournaments.
