Ajax boss speaks highly of Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus

Ajax manager John Heitinga has praised Ghana star Mohammed Kudus following his outstanding display for the club this season.

Kudus, who has been in prolific form this season, became more efficient under the ex-Everton defender, since he took over the club.

Under Alfred Schreuder the 22-year-old was restricted to a role upfront, playing as a false nine.

The former FC Nordjaelland star has scored 18 goals and provided 5 assist across competitions.

Speaking to Ajax TV, the former Everton defender asserted the Black Stars midfielder can make the difference with or without the ball during games.

“We all see that Mohammed can play football. Trust is the most important thing, that goes for everyone. As soon as there is clarity, Mohammed can make the difference with and without the ball, but especially with the ball. It’s a boy who entertains the audience,” John Heitinga said.

“He is a boy who wants to get the most out of his career. He is a proud boy who likes to let his feet speak. He’s not a big talker, but when Mo starts laughing, you know it’s all right.”

The midfielder is expected to join Ajax ahead of the resumption of Dutch Eredivisie after international break.
