Famous Ghanaian media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah has stated that Alan Kyeremanten’s decision to quit the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and go independent in the 2024 general election seems to be Ghanaians want for him to be president but the NPP is against it.
Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, a former Minister of Trade and Industry stated vehemently in a press conference on Monday, September 25 that he will contest the upcoming 2024 presidential elections as an independent candidate.
According to Alan Kyerematen, the decision to establish a new Movement for Change in Ghana was premised on his passion to bring renewed hope to Ghana, especially the teeming youth who are calling for change and to be saved from the duopoly of NPP and NDC governance.
Celebrities have not been left out of Alan’s resignation from the NPP making headlines in the Ghanaian media space.

Some stalwarts of the NPP have also shared their views on the resignation of Alan Kyerematen from the party.
Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a founding member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) says the decision of Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen to resign from his party at the time the NPP is preparing to face other opposition parties in 2024 is inappropriate.
