Amerado responds to critics over post on ‘deleted’ interviews with Delay

Ghanaian musician Amerado has addressed criticisms following his recent comments directed at Delay, regarding the removal of their interviews from her YouTube channel.

On June 29, 2025, Amerado shared a video of himself and Deloris Frimpong Manso (Delay) in a car, accompanied by a caption questioning why his interviews with Delay are no longer available on her platform.

“Your interviews with me are no longer on your channel. How did we get here?” Amerado captioned the video post on X.

The post quickly gained attention online, with many social media users weighing in.

Numerous social media users commented on the post, which attracted a lot of attention online.

Amerado was criticised for addressing the matter in public instead of speaking with Delay in person, considering their close friendship.

Many internet users believed that Amerado ought to have handled the situation more tactfully, considering his past friendly relationship with Delay.

In response to the backlash, the rapper returned to social media on June 30, 2025, to defend his approach.

According to him, because the interviews were conducted in public and shared on a public platform, it is reasonable to question their removal in the same public space.

“Lol, emotional maturity? Do you think a public interview on a public platform is a private matter? If you can’t bear public information, don’t even think of private,” he wrote.
