Veteran American singer, Flaco Jimenez, has died at 86.

The six time Grammy winner reportedly died on Thursday July 31 2025.

Announcing his death in a post on Facebook, Flaco family said he passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

“It’s with great sadness we share the loss of our father, Flaco Jimenez. He was surrounded by loved ones and will be missed immensely”.

While expressing gratitude to his fans, the family requested privacy.

Media reports that the late singer who helped popularize Tex Mex music globally, started performing at age 7.

He was the founding member of the Los Super Seven and the Grammy winning groups Texas Tornados.
