Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew have fulfilled my dream of playing at the World Cup – Abedi Pele

Ghana legend, Abedi Pele has disclosed that his dream during his playing days was to play at the World Cup.

Unfortunately, the African football icon never had the chance but excelled for the national team.

With the 2022 FIFA World Cup starting today, Sunday, November 20, 2022, Abedi Pele has disclosed that his two sons Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew are fulfilling his Black Stars dream.

“A dream was to be at the @FIFAWorldCup but didn’t get the chance back then! Now my 2 boys are there to make my dream and Ghana 🇬🇭 as a nation come on. #BringBackTheLove #BlackStars . Get in well. Alhamduliliah,” the Black Stars great said in a post on Twitter.

 

Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup will be one of five African countries representing the continent.

The Black Stars will compete in Group H of the group stages of the tournament. In that group, Ghana will battle it out with two-time champions Uruguay, as well as European giants Portugal.

The other group opponent is South Korea from Asia.

While the 2022 FIFA World Cup will commence on Sunday, November 20, Ghana’s Black Stars will play their first match on November 24.

Subsequently, Ghana will take on South Korea on November 28 before finishing the group stages campaign with a rematch against Uruguay.
