Asante Kotoko and Nigeria’s Rivers United agree to play friendly in Turkey
Asante Kotoko and Nigerian club Rivers United have agreed to play a pre-season friendly in Turkey.
The match will take place during Kotoko’s pre-season tour of the European country this month.
The agreement was signed in Nigeria on Friday, with Ghanaian champions represented by brands and communications manager David Obeng.
The team will be in Turkey for 15 days, with the pre-season beginning on August 15 and ending on August 30.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be looking to defend their 2021/2022 title as well as qualify for the CAF Champions League group stage.
The 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League is expected to begin in September.
