Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate for the 2024 Presidential elections, along with the party’s national leadership, is gearing up for a nationwide “Thank You Tour”.
The tour will kick off on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the NPP Headquarters in Asylum Down.
This tour comes after the NPP’s recent loss in the 2024 general elections to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Endorsed by the NPP’s National Council, the initiative aims to express heartfelt gratitude to party members and the general public for their unwavering support during the electoral process.
Under the theme “In All Things, Give Thanks to God” (1 Thessalonians 5:18), this tour is a testament to the party’s commitment to recognising divine guidance and promoting unity among its members.
Stretching across all sixteen regions of Ghana, the tour will feature regional and constituency events, providing an opportunity for party supporters to engage directly with their leaders.
Notably, a special three-day program will be held in the Ashanti Region from April 29 to May 1, 2025, given its political significance.
The tour is expected to wrap up in the Central Region on June 4, 2025.
The NPP encourages all members and supporters to be actively involved in the tour events in their regions and constituencies.
In a statement released on Monday, April 21, the NPP’s National Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye, said, “The tour will culminate in national interfaith thanksgiving services that include both Christian and Islamic religions, fostering a spirit of gratitude and reflection”.
