Bawumia’s ADC alleges raiding of his home by national security operatives
Superintendent Yakubu Issahaku, the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to former Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has raised alarm over an incident that occurred at his residence in Sapeiman, Accra.
He alleges that about 30 armed and masked operatives from the National Security forcefully entered his home on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Sapeiman.
Issahaku claims he received a message via WhatsApp from a friend at approximately 6:14 p.m., alerting him to the alarming situation.
He reports that the operatives proceeded to ransack the entire premises, leading to considerable damage.

The destruction included broken security doors, disconnected CCTV systems, and the removal of critical equipment such as internet routers, switches, and a hard disc.
Issahaku further states that every room in the residence was searched without any explanation or legal justification being provided.
He identified the operation’s leader as a police superintendent currently based at the Jubilee House, known to operate from the Blue Gate.

Issahaku asserts that he is personally acquainted with this officer, raising additional concerns regarding the motive and the legal grounds for the raid.
This disturbing incident has ignited serious apprehensions about the conduct of state security forces and the treatment of individuals linked to former officials.
