Besiktas target Caleb Ekuban decides to stay at Serie B side Genoa

Ghanaian striker Caleb Ekuban has chosen to remain at Genoa despite rumours that he was planning to return to Turkey.

Ekuban will stay in Italy and play in Serie B after Genoa was demoted from Serie A at the end of the previous campaign.

The 28-year-old signed for Genoa last season but fell short of the expected performance. He scored just two goals for Genoa.

Ekuban, who was mentioned with Beşiktaş and Konyaspor during the transfer period, decided to continue his career in Italy.

It has been learned that Genoa is considering Ekuban in the new season squad and will not approve his transfer.

The 28-year-old football player, who played 34 games with the Italian team, contributed 2 goals and 2 assists.

Ekuban was at the peak of his career with Trabzonspor, and scored 29 goals and 18 assists in 103 games.
