Black Stars youngster Fatawu Issahaku joins Dreams FC ahead of 2021/22 season

Black Stars’ Abdul Issahaku Fatawu has completed a move to Ghana Premier League side Dreams Football Club ahead of the 2021/22 season, set to begin on October 29.

The 2021 CAF U-20 best player agreed to a short spell with the Dawu-based club from second-tier club Steadfast FC.

Issahaku is set to taste Premier League football before expectedly joining the Portuguese champions Sporting CP sometime next year.

The youngster played an integral role in Ghana’s triumph at the Africa Youth Championship in Mauritania where he won the Best Player award and scorer of the goal of the tournament.

His performance attracted interest from several clubs in Europe including Bayer Leverkusen, Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, Red Bull Salzburg, among others.

His remarkable performance within a short period both with Steadfast FC and the national youth teams secured him a promotion to the senior national team. the Black Stars.

He earned several call-ups but made his debut under Coach Milovan Rajevac when Ghana hosted Zimbabwe in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
