In honor of the passing of esteemed African writer, Professor Ama Ata Aidoo, a Book of Condolence will be opened from Wednesday, June 7 through Friday, June 9.
The event will take place at the W.E.B Du Bois Centre in Cantonments, Accra.
Family members will be present daily between 10 am and 3 pm to receive visitors and share in their remembrances.
Professor Ama Ata Aidoo, known worldwide for her exceptional contributions to African literature, passed away in the early hours of May 31, 2023, following a brief illness.
The announcement, made by her family, conveyed their profound sorrow and shared the news of her demise.
During the three-day gathering, attendees will have the opportunity to pay their respect and offer tributes to honor Prof. Aidoo’s extraordinary literary legacy.
