C/R: Three students, taxi driver die in ghastly accident
A gory accident at Natwibuw on the Winneba-Apam highway in the Central Region has claimed four lives.
The victims include three students from the Uncle Rich and St. Paul basic schools and a taxi driver.
The incident occurred when students were returning home from school around 4:00 PM on Monday, June 23, 2025, when another vehicle collided with their taxi.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver of a Toyota RAV4 registered GN 5507-18 collided head-on with the taxi cab also registered CR 748-20 after a wrongful overtaking.

The crash led to the death of the driver on the spot, as it took emergency responders to retrieve his body.
Reports also indicate that one of the students died on the spot, while two others succumbed while on admission at the Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba, raising the death toll to four.

Two other students who survived the crash are currently receiving treatment.
The police have yet to release an official statement on the incident.
