A vehicle was completely destroyed by fire on Saturday, June 28, after it veered off the road and crashed into a bar in Westland around 2 p.m.
Eyewitnesses recounted a terrifying scene, saying the car suddenly began reversing uncontrollably before careening off the road and smashing into a bar attached to a residential building.
Within moments of the impact, the vehicle burst into flames.
The quick thinking and bravery of nearby bystanders allowed the driver to be pulled from the car just seconds before the fire consumed it entirely.
Emergency responders from the Ghana National Fire Service arrived promptly at the scene and managed to douse the fire.
Despite their efforts, the vehicle was reduced to a charred shell.
Meanwhile, no lives were lost in the incident, and no serious injuries have been reported.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash and the subsequent fire.
