Chelsea’s Reece James withdraws from England National Team with injury
Chelsea Football Club has confirmed that defender Reece James won’t feature in England’s upcoming international games after withdrawing from the Three Lions.
The withdrawal is down to an injury Reece James picked up while competing for Chelsea in the Blues English Premier League game against Liverpool.
James played out the entire duration of Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge and delivered a standout performance in the game.
After game, James posted a picture of shin that had a big cut on it and added the caption “following medical assessments” on his Instagram page.
However, his latest injury issue has ruled him out of England’s games against Latvia on Thursday, October 9 and Wales on October 14.

Fellow right full back Trent Alexander-Arnold is dealing with a hamstring injury that has ruled him out potentially until the end of October.

James has since been replaced by Manchester City’s Nico O’Reilly who has made nine appearances for Pep Guardiola’s team in all competitions this season.
