Coach Ogum calls on Kotoko players to stay focused after RTU defeat

Head coach for Asante Kotoko, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, has charged his players to stay focused ahead of the next game following a defeat to Real Tamale United on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors missed an opportunity to increase their point gap at the top of the league, losing 2-1 to RTU at the Aliu Mahama stadium during the matchday 25 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.

In his post-match interview, Coach Ogum attributed the loss to his team not playing to his instructions and urged the players to accept defeat and prepare for the next match.

“We created some good chances especially in the early part of the game which we could have scored but we couldn’t, and I think it’s okay. We’ve lost and we have to accept it, no blame game. We just have to make sure that we go back as a unit like we came here and make sure that we get things done right and we move on, that’s all,” Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum told StarTimes in an interview.

Next for the Kumasi-based team will be a must-win game against Legon Cities FC in the matchday 26 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
