Court Issues Arrest Warrant For Suspect In $7 Million Gold Scam

An Accra Magistrate Court has issued a warrant for the immediate arrest of Moses Komla Azimey on charges of defrauding by false pretense.

According to reports, Mr. Azimey is accused of collecting money from a complainant under the pretext of supplying him with gold worth $7,000,000.

However, he failed to deliver on his promise and subsequently went into hiding.

Authorities believe that the suspect was last seen in the suburb of Pantang, Accra, and is likely hiding in the Dome-Pillar 2, Adentan, and its environs.

In a statement issued by the police, members of the public have been urged to provide any information they may have on the suspect’s whereabouts.

The statement also provided a hotline number for anyone with relevant information to report to the police or contact the nearest police station.
