Her Ladyship Cyra Pamela Koranteng has officially resigned from her position as the Judicial Secretary.

This latest development comes barely three days after Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey was suspended by President John Dramani Mahama.

Her resignation letter was officially accepted by the Judicial Council during its 291st meeting held on Wednesday, 26th March 2025.

Following her resignation, the Acting Chief Justice, His Lordship Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, has appointed Dr Cyracus Badinye Bapuuroh, deputy to Her Ladyship Pamela Koranteng, to take over the role in an acting capacity until a substantive Judicial Secretary is confirmed.

In a memorandum dated April 24, Justice Baffoe-Bonnie directed Dr Bapuuroh to assume the responsibilities of her immediate past leader.

“Wherefore you are hereby directed to assume the duties of Judicial Secretary pending decision by the Judicial Council and the eventual appointment of a substantive Judicial Secretary,” excerpts of the memo stated.

The notice further instructed that members of the Judiciary, the Judicial Service of Ghana, and the general public should take note of the latest development.
