Desist from politicising security matters – Bawumia

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has urged Ghanaians to refrain from politicising issues relating to security.

His comments come on the back of the murder of two police officers who were killed while on traffic duty at Kasoa in the Central Region.

Police has since arrested four persons including the lead suspect in the murder of the police officers.

In an address at the family house of one of the slain officers, Dr. Bawumia urged all to help the police in combating crime while insisting on the need for all to depoliticise issues of security.

“Those who had been elected to sacrifice to maintain peace and order ought to be respected and protected, therefore Ghanaians should see the police and security officers as their family members, friends and protectors,” he stressed.
