Domelevo,Mannaseh and four others nominated for GII’s 2019 Integrity Awards

Auditor-General, Daniel Yaw Domelevo, has been nominated as the Integrity Personality of the Year in this year’s Ghana Integrity Award.

Also nominated for the same honour is Freelance Investigative Journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni.

The Ghana Integrity Award is organised by the Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII), the Ghana arm of Transparency International.

Other nominees for the Integrity Personality of the Year include the Director of Ghana Think Foundation, Ato Ulzen-Appiah; Managing Director of Ghana Publishing Company, Ing. Edward Sowah Adjetey and Engineer at State Housing Company Limited Ghana, Mr David Boateng Asante.

The Integrity Personality of the Year and other category winners will be awarded in a ceremony on December 9, 2019, to commemorate the UN International Anti-Corruption Day and the climax of GII’s 20th Anniversary.


Voting for the Integrity Personality of the Year 2019 can be done either through the Ghana Integrity Awards website – www.ghanatintegrityawards.org or via short code *718*739#.

The voting procedure is as follows:

  1. To vote via the Ghana Integrity Awards website, visit www.ghanatintegrityawards.org/vote, click on vote now, select your preferred nominee and submit or
  2. To vote via short code (USSD), Dial *718*739#, select start, select your preferred nominee and submit.

The public votes according to the GII constitutes 40 per cent of the total score while an Evaluation Committee made up of representatives from civil society, academia, judiciary, private sector, and other accountability institutions’ score will constitute 60 per cent of the total score.

The Ghana Integrity Awards (GI Awards) was launched in August 2019 with the aim of honoring institutions and individuals whose efforts are contributing positively and sustainably to the promotion of integrity and the fight against corruption in Ghana.

The other award categories for institutions are: Policy & Administrative Reforms, Transparency & Social Accountability, Efficient Public Service Delivery and Effective Internal Control Enforcement. Institutions that have been shortlisted will be evaluated and scored 100 per cent by the Evaluation Committee.
