Dr. Duffuor to set up pension scheme for NDC Members

Dr.Kwabena Duffour, a flagbearer hopeful for the Natonal Democratic Congress (NDC), has assured to set up a scheme to take care of the elderly in the party who have been neglected for long.

Dr. Duffour made this known when he visited the NDC Greater Accra Regional Executives of the party to ask their permission to tour the region and also, to officially introduce himself and his campaign plans.

He noted that, some elderly in the party who have been neglected, are finding it difficult to pay for their medical bills hence, the need to establish a scheme to support them.

The Ahoto project he indicated, would be rolled over to strengthen the constituencies to empower the less privileged.

Dr. Kwabena Duffour further, promised to build regional and constituency offices for the NDC party across the country .

According to him , the party can be strong only through a strong foundation, by having offices to serve the course of the party.

“If the foundation of the party is not strong, working very hard will amount to nothing because there will be no coordination”.

The building of regional and constituency offices according to Dr. Duffour, has become necessary due to meetings he had with party people in the regions recently in classrooms and in churches .

The Greater Accra NDC Regional Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore on his part , cautioned all the aspirants and their supporters to refrain from dirty campaign and anything that would block the party’s chance of winning the 2024 general elections.

He pointed out that, the common enermy that all should focusing energy to is the NPP saying, they are the target and therefore, all the candidates must one after the internal contest.

Greater Accra Regional NDC has 34 Constituencies with 60,000 delegates.

Accompanied Dr. Kwabena Duffour to the Greater Accra NDC Regional office  include former National  Organizer of the party, Mr.Yaw Boateng Gyan,  former Information Minister, Mr.Fitz Baffour and others.
