The Electoral Commission (EC) will re-exhibit the Provisional Voter’s Register (PVR) from October 14 to 19, 2024.
This initiative follows a constructive meeting with political parties and other stakeholders at an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on October 1, 2024.
The EC is committed to ensuring a transparent and accurate voter register as the elections approach.
To facilitate this process, the Commission encourages the public to verify their registration details by dialling *711*51# or visiting the EC’s official website.
These options allow citizens to check their information on the PVR without the need to visit an EC office, making the verification process more accessible and convenient for everyone.
Moreover, the EC urges the public to report any discrepancies or errors in their registration details to their respective district offices for prompt correction.
Accurate and up-to-date information is essential for maintaining the integrity of the voter register, and the EC is dedicated to addressing any issues that may arise during this re-exhibition period.
Additionally, the EC has called on political parties to actively engage in this process.
Parties are provided with templates to report any discrepancies they identify during the re-exhibition, contributing to a comprehensive and transparent verification effort.
Through this collaborative approach, the EC aims to safeguard the accuracy and reliability of the voter register in preparation for the 2024 elections, reinforcing its commitment to a fair and democratic electoral process.
