The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is set to conduct a scheduled maintenance exercise across five regions on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
This exercise aims to enhance service delivery, but residents should be prepared for power outages in several communities from 8 am to 5 pm.
In the Eastern Region, power disruptions are expected between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm in areas such as Asesewa Township, Bukonor, Sekesua, Anyamoni, Dana, and Akateng.
ECG expressed regret for any inconvenience this may cause in its notice dated Friday, July 18.
The Tema Region will also experience outages from 9 am to 4 pm, affecting neighbourhoods including Mobole, Otsebreku, Okushibiri, and Tema International School, among others.
The company reassured residents that these efforts are crucial for improving service reliability and appreciates their patience during this time.
Residents in the Greater Accra Region are expected to witness one of the longest outages, scheduled from 9 am to 5 pm, impacting areas like Agbogba, North Legon, and East Legon.
In the Volta Region, Hodzo and nearby areas will face power cuts between 9 am and 5 pm. The company outlined that this maintenance is vital for ongoing regional improvements.
Finally, in the Ashanti Region, communities in parts of Kumasi and Offinso will also experience outages from 9 am to 5 pm, including Barekese Town, Kronum Cement, and many others.
ECG encourages residents in all affected areas to take necessary precautions by turning off sensitive electrical devices in anticipation of these temporary interruptions. The company highlighted that maintenance is essential for improving system efficiency and ensuring sustained service stability.
“ECG regrets the inconvenience that will arise out of this exercise,” the company stated in its regional advisories. For further updates, customers are encouraged to check www.ecg.com.gh or follow ECG’s social media pages.
