Ethnocentric Comments: Catholic Bishops’ Conference condemns Badu Kobi
The Catholic Bishops’ Conference has condemned the ethnocentric comments made by Founder of Glorious Wave International Chapel, Prophet Badu Kobi.
The Prophet in a video asked his congregants not to marry women from Asante, Fante and Ewe tribes for various reasons including ‘greed’ and ‘foolishness’.
Many are those who have condemned the comments with a lot more demanding an apology from the Preacher.
The latest to condemn the ethnocentric comments by Badu Kobi is the Catholic Bishops’ Conference.
The group believes the Pastor erred in his communication.
“It is our view that a pastor of a church, or anybody for that matter, should not talk the way he did. In so doing, he has shown great disrespect to women. Such statements bring division not only in the church but also in the nation,” a statement signed by President, Most Rev. Philip Naameh said.
