FA Cup: Newcastle to play Brighton; Man United drawn against Fulham

Newcastle United have been drawn at home to Brighton & Hove Albion in the fifth round of the FA Cup following their 3-2 win over Birmingham.

A goal from Callum Wilson and two from Joe Willock saw the Magpies come from behind to beat the Blues at St. Andrew’s at Knighthead Park on Saturday.

The draw for the next round took place on Monday evening and United were drawn at home to Brighton, who knocked out Chelsea in the fourth round.

Ties in the fifth round will be played across the weekend of Saturday, 1st March 2025.

Newcastle will be looking to improve on their FA Cup record against the Seagulls; their only win in six previous meetings in the competition came in the fifth round in 1929/30.

United were 3-0 victors that day, but went out of the cup in consecutive seasons to Brighton in 2011/12 and 2012/2013.
