Facilities at the Accra Stadium have been improved ahead of Ghana v Mali Game- Yaw Ampofo Ankrah

Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA) Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has stated that the quality of facilities at the Accra Sports Stadium have improved since the stadium hosted a FIFA sanctioned game in March.

Ghana beat Chad 5-0 at the Accra Stadium in March this year in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier and ahead of another FIFA World Cup qualifier, this time against Mali, the NSA boss believes the stadium has been improved.

Ghana’s Black Stars take on Mali on Monday, September 8 at 19:00 GMT and ahead of the crucial game, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah assured fans of their safety and added that.

“The facility is ready…we still have minus a certain number [of seats] but beyond the Chad game, there is an improvement. The pitch, the stands, other parts of the stadium have had remarkable improvement and we will continue to adjust and improve and upgrade as we go along.”

Ahead of Monday’s game, Ghana drew 1-1 with Chad in N’Djamena while Mali beat Comoros 3-0.
