Award-winning Nigerian actor, Jim Iyke has encouraged men to find a female friend devoid of sexual tendencies or feelings who they can rock with, confide in and share their vulnerability to.
He explained that women are blessed with an intuition to listen and accommodate men’s challenges that ordinarily they won’t share with fellow men and offer advice without judgment – something he said men will hitherto perceive as weakness.
In an interview, Thursday, July 24, 2025, Jim Iyke said that in finding such a female friend, men must ensure there are no sexualities involved; otherwise, ulterior motives may corrupt the truth of the advice sought from the female friend.
Jim Iyke offered the advice when he clarified his post about fellow actor Kate Henshaw.
“This is somebody without judgment and reservation I can say this is what I am going through, and they will give me the most honest advice that comes from only one place that God created, the female intuition.
“We don’t have that intuition as men. We are driven to lead, provide and protect. Something in us does not have a certain intuition that women are blessed with.
“So, when you garner your tight circle of friendship, find somebody that is totally devoid of sexual tendencies and propensities in your life and suggest certain things that ordinarily you cannot express around men.
“It is women who will embody that vulnerability and not sell it short when they reciprocate to tell you, you are not out of place to vent this way,” he shared.
He added: “It is a pent-up emotion that men otherwise see as weakness, but once sexuality gets involved, it becomes corrupted. She will not give you clean advice, and you, in your right mind, will think whatever she speaks of is biased because it is now leading with emotions.”
