A fire has ravaged the top floor of a two-storey hostel at Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College, which accommodates over 150 students.
This incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 20, 2025, in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
A swift response from the Ghana National Fire Service prevented the fire from spreading to the ground floor.
However, the flames have left the top floor completely devastated, destroying all the belongings of the students, including mattresses, laptops, provisions, stationery, and other vital items.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the blaze, as many students were away for the Easter holidays, according to the school’s management.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire, with the Ghana National Fire Service leading the inquiry.
