Former Black Stars midfielder Razak Pimpong donates footballs to Accra Great Olympics

Former Black Stars midfielder Razak Pimpong has donated a set of footballs to Ghana Premier League side Accra Great Olympics.

Accra Great Olympics in a statement on their official Facebook page sighted by Footballghana.com confirmed the gesture and thanked the retired footballer.

“Our former player, “Razak Pimpong” donates sets of football to the club at the training grounds yesterday. Donations was done by his senior brother and some friends. We say Thank you to the Son of the Dade Family” the club said.

Razak Pimpong started his youth career with Accra Great Olympics before moving to Denmark to play for FC Midtjylland. He played more than 100 times for the Wolves, scoring 25 league goals for the club.

In July 2005, he agreed to a move to league rivals F.C. København from January 2006.

Pimpong was part of the Ghana 2004 Olympic football team, which exited in the first round, having finished in third place in group B.

He was called up for the Ghana squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. He made ten appearances for the senior national team the Black Stars and scored one goal.
