Former Subin MP criticises Nana B over recent comments
Former Subin Member of Parliament, Eugene Boakye Antwi, has publicly criticised New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye, better known as Nana B, over his recent comments aimed at party members who question the party’s direction following its defeat in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking in a media interview, Mr Antwi described Nana B as a “small boy” in the party and advised him to adopt a more measured tone when speaking on sensitive matters.
He argued that the role of a National Organiser comes with responsibility and that public remarks must reflect maturity and leadership.
“Excuse me to say, he is a small boy at the party. Being a National Organiser does not make you a senior member. He is my young brother, and I will urge him to be measured in his utterances. His tone and language must reflect his position,” Mr Antwi stated.
His comments were a direct response to Nana B’s dismissal of concerns raised by senior NPP figure Dr Arthur Kennedy.
Dr Kennedy had cautioned against the early selection of a flagbearer, arguing that the party needs to rebuild from the ground up following its electoral loss.
Nana B rejected that view, insisting the party’s internal structures are intact and capable of supporting a new leadership direction.
Mr Antwi disagreed, saying the situation requires more than organisational strength. He called for humility and openness to differing opinions within the party ranks.
“We need sober reflection, not bravado. Rebuilding after a loss takes more than structures—it requires humility, unity, and open-mindedness,” he said.
