Four hawkers perish on Accra–Nsawam Road

Four unidentified women Monday morning died in a gory road crash on the Accra–Nsawam Road.

They died after a truck with registration number GT 7176 N loaded with an unspecified quantity of cement from Accra to Nsawam reportedly had a brake failure and rammed into other vehicles and shops by the roadside around the Prince Boateng Memorial school.

The Police have confirmed the incident and said the bodies were deposited at the Nsawam Government Hospital morgue for preservation, identification, and autopsy.

The Police said efforts were being made to get the suspect driver to assist investigation.
