Francis Addai-Nimoh Launches Presidential Bid

Former Asante Mampong legislator, Francis Addai-Nimoh has launched his presidential campaign in Accra. He placed third behind Nana Akufo Addo and Alan Kyeremanten in the last presidential primaries of the ruling New Patriotic Party. He says that the respectable position he secured will be the basis of another surprise among the array of candidates.

According to candidate Francis Addai-Nimoh, he continued to serve his party despite not being appointed by the government formed by his party. Out of the bittersweet experience, he emerges as a non-establishment candidate and the one most likely to implement new ideas for the well-being of the Ghanaian. He said, despite the loud ambiance emanating from other quarters, he carries a humane message geared at making the people of Ghana happy if given the chance to lead the country as the President.

Agriculture and Food Security will be his main plank of governance as it is basic and the most important prerequisite to life.  He is of the view that the lofty things about life are necessary but tackling the basics ought to be foremost, and agriculture is one of them.

A founding member of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe said, he predicts and it comes true because he is an experienced man who looks into the crystal ball to glean. He said, that although people are yet to come to terms with who the 1965-born engineer, Francis Addai-Nimoh is and are still weighing their cards in the party’s flagbearer race, he is telling the delegates to vote for Addai-Nimoh because he is one whose choice will bring no regrets to the party and the entire citizenry.

The Addai-Nimoh campaign launch was not gargantuan; attendance was strictly by invitation although any party member could have walked in according to the event’s protocol.  It enjoyed extensive media coverage and was interspersed by cultural displays to enliven the atmosphere.
