The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced a new date for the week 30 fixture between Techiman Eleven Wonders and Hearts of Oak in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The match was scheduled for Monday, 23 May 2022, but got rescheduled due to a communique and advice from the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to the country’s highest football governing body.
The advice from the GHS was due to an outbreak of Hanz virus in the camp of the ‘Phobians’ a few weeks ago, which affected most of the playing body of the team.
Hanz virus, also known as H3N2v, is a non-human influenza virus that normally circulates in pigs and that has infected humans.
Earlier the team paraded only 15 players for their week 29 fixture against Bibiani Goldstars.
However, the GFA has announced Wednesday, 8 June 2022, as the game’s new date, which comes off at 1500GMT at the Ohene Ameyaw Akumfi Park.
The home team are in the relegation zone occupying the 16th position while Hearts of Oak sit in the 4th position with 47 points and a win against Karela United this afternoon will send them to the third spot on the league log.
