The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved Asante Kotoko’s request to travel to South Africa for an international friendly match against Kaizer Chiefs.
The match is scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2025, and will take place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban as part of the Toyota Cup.
This friendly match will also serve as important preparation for the upcoming 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup campaign, in which both clubs are expected to participate.
Kotoko will enter the match on a high note after a strong domestic season, having recently defeated their arch-rivals, Hearts of Oak, to win the 2025 President’s Cup.
This victory adds to their FA Cup triumph, marking a successful season overall.
In confirming the trip, the GFA expressed its full support for the engagement and wished the Porcupine Warriors a successful outing in South Africa.
