The Ghana Football Association (GFA) have agreed on a sponsorship deal with German kit manufacturers ZAZ Produkte as the official referees kit providers for the upcoming football season.
The GFA confirmed this three-year lucrative partnership last Tuesday during the launch of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League at the GFA Conference Hall.
The deal will have the German sportswear brand providing authentic referees kit for the officials handling the Ghana Premier League, Division One, and the women’s league beginning from this season.
ZAZ Produkte has already provided 1,000 pieces of kits to the GFA which per reports, have been distributed among referees selected for the new campaign with each of them receiving three replicas.
Meanwhile, the GFA President Mr Kurt Okraku has also announced that the referee that will be adjudged the best in the coming season will be awarded a brand new car as a prize, a move which has been lauded by football fans.
The new GPL season will start on Friday, 29 October 29 2021, with newly-promoted side Accra Lions FC hosting Elmina Sharks, with the subsequent matches coming up during the weekend.
