GFA unveils 2025/26 football calendar ahead of World Cup year

The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved the 2025/26 Omnibus Competitions Calendar, following a detailed presentation by the General Secretary during its June 9 meeting.

The new football season will run from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, in line with the GFA Statutes and accounting cycle.

The calendar was crafted to accommodate the 23rd FIFA World Cup, which kicks off on June 11, 2026. All major domestic competitions are expected to end before the global tournament begins.
